Dr. Laurence Spraggs, Senior Consultant

Dr. Laurence Spraggs retired as President of Broome Community College (NY) in 2008 where he led strategic and master planning endeavors and created a faculty and staff Leadership Academy. Student retention efforts led to the best retention rate in the state and consistently high rates nationally. Dr. Spraggs was a charter signatory of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment. He served as President of the Titusville Campus of Brevard Community College in Florida as well as Vice President of Instruction and Dean of Mathematics, Natural and Environmental Sciences at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado. His consulting specialties deal with planning and leadership development. He has worked in community colleges for over 30 years. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Biology and his Doctorate in Biology was earned at Idaho State University. He has completed a Management Development Program at Harvard University and an Administrative Leadership Program at Cornell University.
