Dr. Kevin W. Sayers, Senior Consultant
Dr. Kevin W. Sayers has been a member of the Education Alliance since being appointed its first Alliance Fellow and Research Associate in 1998. Since, Dr. Sayers has played important leadership roles in building integrated institutional research, planning, and assessment functions at several colleges and universities.
His professional expertise and research interests are in institutional research, strategic planning, data-informed leadership, institutional change management and innovation, and technology issues in higher education.
Dr. Sayers has significant experience in successfully designing and launching institution-wide assessment initiatives that are inclusive of both strategic management goals and student learning outcomes. He has researched and applied key principles necessary for providing effective decision support for todays college and university executives. Dr. Sayers has also designed and contributed editorials and online forums addressing important technology issues facing American higher education.
Dr. Sayers has held posts at Brown University, Boston College, Berklee College of Music, among other project-based work assignments with state boards of higher education. He regularly presents research at professional conferences and also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Antioch College.
Dr. Sayers holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Boston College, a M.Ed. in Education Leadership from the Pennsylvania State University, and a B.Mus. from the Dana School of Music, Youngstown State University.
