Dr. Lawrence Poole, Senior Consultant

Before retiring, Dr. Poole was President of Cayuga Community College for ten years.  Since retiring, he has held a number of Interim positions including his most recent position as the Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs at Broome Community College.

Professionally, he has served in a number of senior level administrative positions.  Additionally his professional activities included being the President of the Association of Presidents of Public Community Colleges of NY, chairing five Middle States Association Accreditation teams, leading an advisory team from SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry to the Brazilian Federal Rural University of Pernumbuco, and helping to establish the National Council for Resource Development, the first affiliate council with AACC.

He has written a number of articles and chapters for books as well as being an editor.  One of his interests is fundraising and the work of Foundations.

Dr. Poole has also been active in his community where over the years he has been on boards of a bank, school district, hospital, library, chamber of commerce, leadership development program, and industrial development foundation.

He holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida, a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut.
